Well after Christmas was over, we had one more present to enjoy. We adopted a puppy and named him Stig. If you have never heard of the show Top Gear, you probably don't know where we got the name. He is the cutest little guy ever! loves to cuddle up next to us. This is going to be an adventure!

Hello December!!
Man, where did the year go??? Seems like it was just New Years! I am sooooooo very thankful to get to spend the holidays with the hubby this year. Makes all the family events much more bearable to have him with me instead of just answering everyones questions about what he is up to.
Now that it is December, I put the tree up!!! Love getting all the decorations out and getting my holiday spirit going. Even started listening to the holiday music channel on my tv. Just need a little snow on the ground and it will be perfect. NOTE TO MOTHER NATURE: I SAID A LITTLE SNOW!!!! (NO NEED FOR A BLIZZARD!!)

Happy Veterans Day!
Today is a day to honor our veterans, past and present. It is a time to reflect on everything that we as Americans are privileged to have because of the brave men and woman who serve our great nation. I think an Army widow said it best "For meager wages, they gave themselves to our country to help preserve our freedoms. They have endured things most of us civilians would rather not imagine. They have had to walk away form their families and miss important events in their children's lives. They have had to grow up quick and leave childhood behind to travel thousands of miles onto foreign and hostile land. They've lived in subpar housing, eaten awful food and missed holidays. They've been shot at and blown up often ending up severely wounded. Some have even paid the ultimate price to be a proud member of this sometimes overlooked group of men and women." So today, as you go about your daily routine, remember those who have and are currently serving our great nation. Never forget the ones that gave the ultimate sacrifice by giving their life for us. Remember to thank a soldier today!

Minnesota Vacation
We had a quick vacation this past weekend and went to visit my brother and his wife in Minnesota. Marty has never been to their house in Waseca so it was a new adventure for him. Our main agenda was SHOPPING!!! Allison and I decided we needed to take the boys to the Mall of America. Fortunately, I have already finished all of my Christmas shopping but it is always fun to walk around a mall and have a good time! I think the boys just enjoyed being able to ride the rides and dance on x-box. Otherwise its been a very slow and boring week.

November already??
Where has the year gone? Seems like I was just anxiously awaiting for Marty to come home and now I have a countdown to Christmas. There are 54 days until Christmas which means there are really only about 52 shopping days left. As for us, I have managed to get all of my Christmas shopping done already. I have even started to wrap them all up. Now it's time to find some stocking stuffer items and maybe a few other little things for everyone on my list. Other than that, I just have to wait for a few items to be shipped my way! I have made it very easy for Marty this year, he just has to show up.
Halloween has come and gone already too. I did convince Marty to get some pumpkins and carve them with me. I haven't carved a pumpkin in years and had so much fun playing with the guts. We didn't have very many trick-or-treaters but I think Marty would rather it be that way so he can eat all of the left over candy. At least we were able to dress up and enjoy a great night out with friends! Here are a few pictures of our recent adventures. Hopefully sometime soon, we will have a few more fun adventures!
